Let’s continue to question the valorization of Lyon’s archaeological heritage through a new route in the 1st and 2nd arrondissements: how is archaeology practiced in Lyon?

Science still widely fantasized and sometimes decried, should urban archaeology be thought of as an archaeology of the city or in the city?

In what way(s) does the archaeological heritage participate in the construction of the identity of a city, a territory, a collective? Which valuations for which remains, to which audiences?

This walk offers to walk the strata of the city, from the amphitheatre of the three Gauls to the quay of Saint Antoine, through the Place des Terreaux, in order to understand the stakes of appropriation of heritage by the actors of the territory.
