The site of La Madeleine enjoys an exceptional location in the heart of the Gorges de l'Ardèche, on its left bank. It dominates one of the deepest parts of this vast canyon that stretches for more than 30 km from Vallon-Pont-D'Arc to Saint-Martin-d'Ardèche, the result of a titanic work in emergency limestone.
Its viewpoint, considered the most beautiful of the gorges, offers grandiose landscapes of vertical walls, perched valleys, porches, caves and ledges, wild shores, refuges of a unique biodiversity, fully justifying the classification as a nature reserve.
The cave opens in full cliff in this exceptional environment, to give access to a series of vast rooms adorned with amazing concretions to the effects of colors of the most varied. It proposes a journey in several stages to better grasp the magic of this underground world.
