Temporary exhibition The Ukiyo-e exhibition presents for the first time the entire collection of Japanese prints from the Sahut Museum. Through more than a hundred prints visitors will be able to admire a multitude of styles and themes, ranging from portraits of geishas to kabuki theatre scenes (including a collection measuring more than 7 meters long), including scenes from everyday life and landscapes. The Sahut Museum is located in the castle of the Bosredon estate, seat of power of a seigneurial family from the High Middle Ages. The collection of the Sahut Museum is based on the donation of Yvonne and Marcel Sahut to the municipality in 1985\. The painter of Volviccian origin and his wife entrusted Volvic with nearly 2000 works. The Sahut collection reflects the career of a collector painter, Marcel Sahut (1901-1990), an independent artist associated with the École de Paris.
