All colors are in nature.
Pigments, enamels, minerals, the earth offers us something to marvel at and develop various artistic practices.
Painting, enamelled lava, stone marquetry… Man has shown ingenuity and virtuosity to use these colors and reveal the art of the materials that surround us.
Colors speak to us, evoke feelings, sensations. They make us travel, they rhythm our space and our time. They are a language that man expresses in the field of arts and crafts.
This conference proposes to discover the different paths of exploitation of the color, to decode its language and to plunge into the heart of ancestral know-how.

The Sahut Museum is located in the castle of the Bosredon estate, seat of power of a seigneurial family from the High Middle Ages. The collection of the Sahut Museum is based on the donation of Yvonne and Marcel Sahut to the municipality in 1985\. The painter of Volviccian origin and his wife entrusted Volvic with nearly 2000 works. The Sahut collection reflects the career of a collector painter, Marcel Sahut (1901-1990), an independent artist associated with the École de Paris.
