Passionate railway workers present a railway exhibition on more than 180 m2 at the municipal archives of Lyon! You will be able to discover archive images, film projections, model models, animations for the youngest as well as a conference on "The Lyon railway node". You can also meet agents presenting their jobs: Onboard, Ground, Driving and Maintenance. This will be an opportunity to present the innovations and actions with social and environmental responsibility of the SNCF group. You will also be treated to several surprises... We open the doors to immerse you in the heart of our railway passion. In partnership with the Archives Municipales de Lyon, the associations Rails et Histoire, Gares et Connexions, SNCF Réseau, SNCF Voyageurs and Planète Voyages.

A meeting point between the historic centre and the new Confluence district, the Lyon Archives combines past and modernity. Behind a large glass roof, in the heart of the former fully rehabilitated postal sorting centre, lie more than eight centuries of Lyon’s memory.
The archives produced by the municipal administration since the Middle Ages are carefully preserved on kilometres of shelves. Archives of families, companies, associations, unions, architects and photographers complement these sources of Lyon’s history and reflect the social and cultural diversity of the territory over time.
