A little history
Aubignosc first appeared in 1040, Albinioscum, then as a castrum around 1200. The church of Saint Julian is attested in 1274 ("ecclesia Sancti Juliani de Albinoscho"). It is probable that the church replaced a pagan temple. Curiously, this one is at the foot of the hill where the castrum was formed in the 12th century and was not transferred to the latter as was almost always the case.Outstanding Guest: Jeanine Bourvéau, archaeologist of Forcalquier and essayist.**Programme "PAX VOBIS":**Saturday 17/09 at 15:30: guided tour and commented by Jeanine Bourvéau
The rest of the time: free visit, walk on the theme of the lords of the Bignosc.
