The archaeological and paleontological riches of the Enclave of the Popes and the territory will be exhibited at the Castle from September 10 to October 2 thanks to the collections lent by the Association for the Safeguarding of the Archaeological Heritage of the Enclave and its Region (ASPAER), by the Archaeological Museum of Pegue and by the Museum of History and Archaeology of Nyons.

The castle of Simiane is built on the remains of an old house that was built by the Montauban family in the thirteenth century. Hugues Aymeric built in the fourteenth century the two bodies of building still visible along the street of the City Hall.
