Abstract: Deported in 1943 to Auschwitz, Génia is interned in block 10 of the experiments. She is 19 years old. In the depths of the horror comes this unexpected and saving encounter with Aimé, a communist resistance fighter, who arrived by the so-called “45,000” convoy and was assigned to block 11 for a time. Together, they resist. Separated during the evacuation of the camp and the death marches that lead them one to Ravensbrück, the other to Mauthausen, they meet in Paris. Both will decide to actively share their experiences. The unpublished story of Génia, who will marry Aimé Oboeuf after their return to France, makes triumph in the heart of the death camps, the force of love and solidarity.
