Concert - Super Jazz Women Conference
Pannonica hosts the conference-concert of Guillaume Hazebrouck and Chloé Cailleton, discovering forgotten female figures of jazz.
Sábado 17 septiembre 2022, 14:30Passed
Stéphane Bellanger
Terry Pollard, Mary Lou Williams, Mary Osborne, Melba Liston, Dolly Jones, Vi Redd, Carla Bley, Maria Schneider…
With a few exceptions, the history of jazz has retained only male names, leaving in the shade many productive and daring musicians. An oversight that deprives us of part of our «matrimoine».
SUPER JAZZ WOMEN questions the place of women in this music and invites us to reread the story through portraits of women who, to exist, have often shown «super powers». Free and talented musicians who could well inspire those (and those!) of tomorrow.
- Doors open at 2pm -
