Saint-Germain Church
The two parishes of Daumeray were part of the barony of Saint-Germain: the parish of Saint-Martin in the territory of the main settlement and the parish of Saint-Germain in the distance, an agglomeration now called the hamlet of Saint-Germain.
In this village, nothing seems to have changed since the completion of the church nave before the Revolution. The hamlet of St Germain is listed since 1973 in the inventory of picturesque sites and gathers houses from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century. of great authenticity, among which stands out the home of Bellefontaine located northwest of the choir of the church.
Around 1040, the Chevalier Rainard donated the church of Daumeray to the abbey of Marmoutier which established a priory there. The latter, commissioned in the 16th century, depended on the barony that belonged at that time to François de Rohan, bishop of Angers.
