Discovery of collections of liturgical vestments
Exceptional opening of the chapel of the former convent of the sisters of the Visitation, built in the middle of the nineteenth century by the Angevin architect Charles Roques, currently Departmental warehouse of movable objects.
Discovery of the collections of liturgical vestments of the Catholic cult (17th - 20th centuries): chapes, chasubles, dalmatics, stoles, handles, veils, scholarships... The visits will focus on the history and manufacturing processes of these garments, mainly in silk and often embroidered.
Guided tours only, of about half an hour, provided by the curators of the Department. Limited to 15 people (registration required on www.maine-et-loire.fr). Departure every 45 minutes. No photos allowed.
