A show of an astonishing and harmonious mix of poems set to music (Rutebeuf, A. Daudet, Fr. Jammes, Th. Gautier, Ch. Péguy, Marie Noël…), traditional songs revisited (Vendée, Berry, Provence, Limousin, Champagne, Bretagne, Québec…) and compositions in homage to the most beautiful of all women, the Virgin Mary, celebrated over the centuries by as many great poets as by peasant-songwriters.
Whether deep poetic meditations or naive legends gathered on the land of France, it is with the same grace that Patrice Martineau adapted them, music and lend them his voice with the same happiness in this recital which for 20 years has been neither quite the same nor quite another «A Marie, le Chant des Poètes».
