The electro-antarctic story
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days and the last days of the exhibition They go back in time, a musical highlight is organized on Saturday 17 September 2022 at 4pm.
For an hour, let yourself embark through a travel diary in the screaming fifties to follow the scientific campaign Acclimate.
In this visual, textual and musical proposal, spectators are invited to board the Marion Dufresne to follow the Acclimate campaign.
For 60 minutes, the sensitive and the poetic mix with the scientific content and challenges of research in climatology.
The show tries to account for the richness of these adventures. On stage, interior and exterior landscapes are represented through photographic projections and videos, a story of intimate and emotional experience.
The original rock/electro/acoustic musical creation created from the sounds and bearings captured on the ship also brings the audience into this journey through the howling fifties.

The building corresponds to the juxtaposition of two buildings of different period: - a part built between 1821 and 1826 of classical style which housed a mint, a palace of justice, a science school and a business school before becoming an integral part of the museum from 1970\. - a section inaugurated in 1875 at the end of the 19th century to house natural history collections. The entrance is surmounted by an historiated pediment, sculpted by Guillaume Grootaers, which represents the science illuminating the world.
