The Notre-Dame-des-Vertus chapel was built in Gallo-Roman times and rebuilt in the 11th and 12th centuries under the patronage of Saint-Ouen. It was restored in the 17th century by the Jesuits of the Collège de La Flèche (now Prytanée national militaire), and dedicated to Notre-Dame-des-Vertus.
