Wikipedia workshop co-organized by the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany – History Museum of Nantes and the Ateliers Femmes et Féminisme as part of the Nantes Digital Week 2022.

The workshop takes place upon registration for the day.
Participants must bring their computer. A computer may be made available to those who do not have one.
The aim is to enrich the Wikipedia encyclopedia by creating articles or by supplementing existing pages, such as with laundries boats or tobacco factories.
Files on artists or women’s themes related to the collections of the Nantes history museum will be made available to contributors to guide the writing of articles.
Some examples of women present in the museum’s collections but without a Wikipedia file: Léonie Valmon/ Marguerite Deurbroucq/ Marguerite Cresty.
Some examples of women’s themes related to the museum’s collections: the Quai de la Fosse prostitution/ the women’s fish market/ the «Dames Banches» women’s reformatory.
Opening hours: from 10am to 5.30pm, with a lunch break from 12.30pm to 2pm.
Possibility of lunch between participants in the room where the workshop will take place, in order to have a friendly moment.
A surprise will close the day.

Built between 1465 and 1500 by Francis II and then by his daughter Duchess Anne, the castle replaces a fortress of the thirteenth century whose only survives a polygonal tower called Old Keep. Flanked by stocky and oversized towers, covered in terrace and equipped with low machicolations, the enclosure is characteristic of the transformations imposed on traditional medieval architecture by the use of heavy artillery. In the courtyard, the Grand Logis and the Tower of the Golden Crown have, since 1500, a transition ornamentation between the flamboyant Gothic and the Renaissance, while the other buildings (Small and Grand Government, Harnachement) testify to the continuous use of the castle between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries. They house a large museum of history of Nantes and the Nantes country. The impressive restoration of the castle marks the visitor who enters the courtyard.
