Rich in its geographical position and history, the Caylus camp has many features to show to the general public.

Lieutenant-Colonel Éric Barrié, Commander of the Military Initial Training Centre – 11th Parachute Brigade – 6th Regiment of Marine Infantry Parachutists, in partnership with the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC), the Departmental Unit of Architecture and Heritage 82 (UDAP82), the Regional Conservatory of Natural Spaces (CEN) and the Parc Régional Naturel des Causses du Quercy (PRNCQ), welcomes you on the military grounds of Camp Caylus, on 17 and 18 September from 09:00 to 18:00, during the 2022 European Heritage Days.
From a guide located on the D85, visitors will be directed to a checkpoint and filter. After a reception detailing the activities, on board their vehicle, with their mountain bike or on foot, they are 2 road car circuits, grass and gravel tracks, 4 mountain bike routes of medium to very strong difficulties and 7 walking circuits from 3 to 14 km, sometimes technical, waiting for them.
Participants will be able to choose, among the 200 kilometers of marked routes that will bring them to selected sites of remarkable interest: dolmens, castle, hamlets, gariottes, mill, phosphateries, endemic environments, cynegetic management.
Scientists, specialists and members of local associations will present this unique heritage, which is highly preserved by the military.
The duration of the visit is at least 4 hours for the simplest routes.
The options taken for the modes of visits to mountain bikes or on foot involve a good knowledge of his physical capacities and a good equipment.
A hiking outfit is recommended (even for car tours, which require a few trips on foot). Food and water are the responsibility of each participant.
Given the context, the organization of this activity will be the subject of the greatest vigilance in the field of safety and health instructions of the moment.
