In the centre of the village, a privileged witness of a rich local history, the Manoir du Lau has been distorted over time. This was without counting on the will of the town hall and the association Heritage Allemansois who fight to rehabilitate it and make it a friendly place of exhibitions and cultural activities, at the heart of the communal associative life.
Built at the beginning of the 16th century by the Lau d'Allemans family who donated it to the Church, the manor became the property of the municipality in 1905\. It served as a rectory and was requisitioned by the Germans during the Second World War. After the liberation, the manor took over the service in housing for the local teacher, in school canteen and finally in social housing.
Mistreated by these transformations and in places deeply disfigured, the manor of Lau was unoccupied since 2002\. For two years an association has been created to rehabilitate this remarkable building which, with its magnificent octagonal tower in
