Château et parc de Buzet
731 Chemin du Château, 47160 Buzet-sur-Baïse
- Lot-et-Garonne
- Nouvelle-Aquitaine
The castle and the park of Buzet constitute the old castral village of Haut-Buzet, whose origins date back to the tenth century. It is a complex with a rich history, consisting of the castle but also of a park of 11 hectares including many factories (old church of the village, icebox, greenhouse, bridge, nymphaea, etc...).
The estate, abandoned for many years, was bought at the end of 2018 by the cooperative Vignerons de Buzet. The Château & Fabriques de Buzet association, which has been managing the site since the summer of 2019, is currently undergoing rehabilitation and studies with a view to enhancing the site’s value to the public through cultural projects, pedagogical and scientific related to the agroecology of wine.
The site is not yet suitable for opening to the public all year round, however, exceptional openings are expected in the year. All information is available on our website and the association’s social networks.
