But also discover how archivists are preparing tomorrow’s heritage for a more sustainable future.
Designed by architect Nathalie Larradet in 2007 on the site of the former Bosquet barracks, the building attracts attention with its glass walls tracing the history of the department. A mecca of memory and local history, it has a capacity of 17 linear km dedicated to the preservation of documents.

The building(ship) of archives was built in 2007 by the architect Nathalie Larradet on the site of the old(former) barracks Grove. Dating the 19th century, she(it) was rehabilitated to become the centre of preservation of archives. A surface of 5113 m ², 17 km of shelving. The glassy facade represents the eight centuries of history(story) of the department.
