Moulin de la Résistance du Pont Lasveyras
Pont Lasveyras, 19230 Beyssenac
- Dordogne
- Nouvelle-Aquitaine
It is between Beyssenac and Payzac, on the verge of the Corrèze and of the Dordogne, that a group of Resistance fighters found refuge. On February 16th, 1944 the mill was encircled by the German troops and having gone(surrendered) 34 resistance fighters were summarily executed on the spot. 3 escaped massacre, 12 were deported and 5 have never returned of concentration camps. The mill receives an exhibition(exposure) realised in homage to 49 victims today. A path(way) of memory was realised, including 10 on-site panels(signs) which allow to include genesis and progress of massacre but also to replace it in the wider context of the black years of Second World War and of Activity(Occupation).
