The castle of Jaurias was built around 1770 by Denis Aubin de Jaurias, musketeer of the king’s guard. It probably replaced a 16th century manor house. Devoted to the winery, the estate retains a large part of the agricultural buildings. The main building was enlarged in the 19th century, a number of outbuildings in the south-east were razed after the establishment of the Napoleonic cadastre (they still formed a closed courtyard in 1825) and a mortuary chapel was erected in 1860.
