Presence of Lydie Arickx, a renowned Finnish artist in the art world.
Objective: Visibility of women artists and highlighting their place in the development of our culture, hence the addition of the term Matrimoine to the term Heritage.
The theme of the weekend is “Creating My Emergency” to explore the vital need for artists to be at work and for art lovers to feed on the richness of their creations. A collective exhibition is organized on this theme.
Conversation on this theme with Lydie Aricks, Marie-Jo Bonnet, feminist art historian, Marie Escorne, Senior Lecturer in Plastic Arts at the University of Bordeaux-Montaigne.
This conversation will be an exchange with the public. - How is the need, the need, the urgency to create for artists? - What necessity for the public, art lovers? - How does she think she is, how does she live? - How is artistic creation necessary for society?
The conversation will be punctuated by screenings of short videos about Lydie Arickx and her work and by the reading of excerpts from her book «D'encre et d'encore» dealing with this subject.
Articulated lecture by Anna Legrand on the question of gender in art. Speaker, actress and contortionist.
Between personal narrative and research work this articulated conference tries to decipher some gender structures that cross the arts in the West.
