Sunday 18 September from 2pm the Hall will be open for the presentation of the exhibition proposed by the Departmental Archives of Lot-et-Garonne: "The history of the prune in Clairac"; the occasion to remember that the prune of ente, the famous prune of Agen, was born here thanks to the action of the Benedictine monks of the Abbey of Clairac. The visitor will be offered an ingenious historical map-guide of the city published by the Society of Friends of Clairac. He will thus be able, while strolling, to discover the heart of old Clairac: guided tour of the church Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens (former abbey church), overview of the Benedictine abbey of the 11th century, medieval houses with wooden sides, not forgetting the amazing retirement home, balcony on the Lot, the precursor of the wood eco-architecture from the 1980s (E. Morizet architect). Finally, the Font-Grand wash-house will lead him to the quays, thus closing his walk in front of the calm waters of the Lot.
