What choices or natural constraints have shaped the city? How has the urban landscape changed? Who were the architects of these changes? What architecture has reached us?
Through a journey combining archives, art and archaeology, the exhibition reveals the major stages of more than 2000 years of history. From the great Art Deco monuments to the more modest and sometimes hidden heritage, it portrays a city in constant evolution. In an open-air architectural panorama, where 17th-century mansions rub shoulders with 18th-20th-century mansions, the exhibition gives the keys to identifying in the present city the faces sometimes disappeared from the Dax of yesteryear.
