Discover the know-how and a certain knowledge of the built around the restoration works and the recent archaeological excavations.

Two exhibitions recount the work carried out and underway in the abbey:
- «Conserving, restoring, transmitting - Twenty years of restoration at the abbey»: monastic buildings are the subject of a vast restoration program, initiated in 2002, which unveils the monumentality of Mauritian architecture, the quality of materials and know-how.build. The last phase of work, currently in progress, concerns the cryptoportico and its pier, unusual underground constructions that house a series of cellars and open on the gave of Oloron.
"The tile!" Archaeological discoveries in the abbey»: as part of the retaurations of the cryptoportico, a preventive archaeological excavation on the abbey’s terrace revealed an unsuspected system of buried roofs. The exhibition takes stock of this discovery and sheds light on the work of archaeologists on the site.
