The Convent of Annonciade opens you its doors!
Guided tours of the Convent of the Annunciade by agents of the regional direction of cultural affairs (per group of 15 people maximum) and free visits of the cloister and the chapel.
Under the authority of the regional prefect, the Direction régionale des affaires culturelles (DRAC) Nouvelle-Aquitaine is responsible for implementing, adapted to the regional context, the priorities defined by the Ministry of Culture. Its missions are: knowledge, conservation and enhancement of heritage, support for cultural industries, support for creation and its dissemination to the public in all artistic fields: architecture, digital arts, visual arts, street arts, circus, cinema, dance, design, literature, music, theatre.
The DRAC ensures the application of the Heritage Code and the regulatory texts on heritage and architecture: archaeology, archives, French language and languages of France, historical monuments, museums, intangible heritage. The DRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine, in partnership with cultural stakeholders, local authorities and other ministries, promotes access to culture and heritage for all.
The DRAC is located on 3 sites, in Bordeaux, Limoges and Poitiers and 12 departmental units of architecture and heritage, in Charente, Charente-Maritime, Corrèze, Creuse, Dordogne, Gironde, Landes, Lot-et-Garonne, Deux-Sèvres, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Vienne and Haute-Vienne.
