Associated with the Regional Conservatory of Aquitaine, the orchard garden preserves and enhances several varieties of old, forgotten fruits and vegetables or medicinal plants. In its ethnographic dimension, it presents human-plant relationships over time. A stand dedicated to collecting stories about the plants in the gardens will be accessible and open to all, in order to value the action and desire to transmit this heritage.

It is in a historic market-gardening area, the plain of Pau, that the association of the Conservatoire des Légumes Anciens du Béarn -CLAB- became in a few years, a showcase and centre of excellence in the fields of cultivated biodiversity in the fields of market gardening and arboriculture. The cultivated site of the CLAB, with an area of 6500 m², has the particularity of combining in the same place, a vegetable garden and an orchard hence its name of "garden-orchard".
* the vegetable garden presents collections of rare varieties of vegetables, medicinal, aromatic and tinctorial plants. More than 500 species and/or varieties make up these collections. A 20m² pond hosts a very rich flora and fauna; it is a place of observation and permanent wonder.
* The orchard, on the other hand, is made up of about a hundred fruit trees, including about seventy apple trees of old local varieties. A fruit hedge with multiple functions encircles the plot.
