Guided tour of Notre-Dame du Havre Cathedral
Guided tour of Notre-Dame du Havre Cathedral
Stones speak. In Le Havre, they have become rare, following the destruction of the Second World War. Yet in the heart of the Notre-Dame district, the first built, sits an old building that has been renovated. The Notre-Dame Cathedral (church, which became a cathedral in 1974) has survived, and plunges us into a long history, from the roots of Le Havre, to the sometimes violent tumults that touched the Cité Océane.
After exploring its history, we will tour the building, both exterior and interior, to discover the riches, sometimes veiled, of this building which has been a Historical Monument since 1919. Scheduled between 15:00 and 16:00, the guided tour will be scheduled for 45 minutes, with 15 minutes for other questions or a more free visit time.
