Guided tour aboard VESTA! Open house on the waste recycling eco-pole of the Rouen and Dieppe boroughs
Smédar opens its doors and invites residents to discover its recycling waste sorting centre and the Energy Recovery Unit, located on the VESTA eco-pole, as well as a photo exhibition tracing the evolution of the banks of the Seine for 25 years. Guided tours of the banks of the Seine are also organised.
Symbol of an industrial heritage combining modernity and history, the Vesta ecopole was built on the site of the former Shipyards of Normandy. Characterized by the appearance of a liner designed by the architect Claude Vasconi, Vesta is a must-see for industrial tourism, in the heart of the district of Rouen. Every year, nearly 400,000 tonnes of waste are processed by Smédar on this site to be recycled or recovered in energy (electricity and heating).
The equipment is accessible only to disabled people over the age of 9. Flat and closed shoes are required. In addition, ID will be required on the day of the visit.
