Hôtel de Ville de L'Aigle
Place Fulbert de Beina, 61300 l'Aigle
At the beginning of the 11th century, a fortress was built by Fulbert de Beina who would have discovered, in this place, an eagle’s nest (hence the name attributed to the City). The current castle was built in 1690 on the site of the old fortress, the work lasted 40 years. The last Marquis, Joseph des Acres, alienated the castle in 1792\. It was then sold many times. After the bombing of June 7, 1944, and after restoration, the castle became the town hall.
