Guided tours of the Jeanne-Chauvin Library - Université Paris Cité
Architecture, use and environment.
Within the campus of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Management of Paris Cité University, the Jeanne-Chauvin University Library, open to the public in 2018, is an invitation to learn, study, exchange and meet for the entire academic community, carried by a building with original aesthetics, respectfully inscribed in its urban environment.
The architectural project also aimed at a graphic and chromatic resonance with the adjoining faculty, whose Art Deco building is included in the Additional Inventory of Historical Monuments.
The library that bears the name of Jeanne Chauvin, the first lawyer to plead in France in 1901, offers 2500 m2, 32,000 books and 200 titles of periodicals, 410 seats, 25 group workspaces and relaxation spaces.
In addition to its missions, the Jeanne Chauvin Library is also a place of support for pedagogy and a link with the professional world, a place where we find methodological help and where we prepare for the future.
