Reception rooms Reception rooms are home to many works of art: tapestries, paintings and furniture by designers from the 60s and 70s.
The Salon d'honneur - Claude Erignac Large reception room, the Salon d'honneur welcomes the most emblematic work of art of the prefecture: the monumental tapestry Composition by Victor Varasely.
The old spaces of the departmental council The most preserved spaces located in the most unusual part created by the architect: period telephone booths, bar area with its skylights, helical ramp access to the deliberation room. Everything remained as originally (materials, colors, furniture...)
The big halls. Stroll through the big halls of the prefecture. Also discover the roof of the platform, from which emerges the roof of the room of the departmental council ...

The work of a disciple of Le Corbusier, André Wogenscky, the prefecture of the Hauts-de-Seine, tower of 113 meters high, alloy of concrete, glass and aluminum, is the reflection of a typical architecture of the 1970s. During the design, the user was at the center of the architect’s concerns. André Wogenscky wanted to create a functional building, while affirming the importance of aesthetics. 40 years after its construction, the building has stood the test of time, with some redevelopments over the years needed to adapt to new needs. Partnerships with the National Plastic Arts Centre in 2013 and with National Furniture in 2014 have helped to enhance the spaces that welcome our audiences. Thus since June 2014, the Mobilier national has made available pieces of furniture and works of art representative of the artistic creation of the 1970s.
