Tour de Ganne, grandeur and decline

Exhibition dedicated to the Tower of Ganne, listed monument.

Built in the twelfth century, the Ganne Tower has known over the course of history strong times then a decline. Today, this emblematic remnant of the village forms with the bridge, a remarkable ensemble that many painters have not ceased to represent from the nineteenth to the present day. Organized in partnership with the Friends of Grez association, we will unveil through an exhibition of works and archives, a booklet written by Olga Weijers and a lecture by Denis Hayot, specialist of medieval fortifications, A whole range of events that have made Grez sur Loing such a picturesque village.
