The Garden-School was, for a century, a high place of horticultural practice in Montreuil. It was created in 1920 by farmers who decided to set up a place for collective research and experimentation. It is in this field that new varieties of fruit, new fertilizers and disease control methods have been tested, so that these experiments will benefit all the farmers in the Montreuil area. Today, the Garden-school has two parts: - The first, where there are restored peach walls, beautifully landscaped by the gardeners of the high school, has become the place of exercise of the students of the high school. - The other part of 4000 m² is maintained by the Société régionale d'horticulture de Montreuil (SRHM) and Greta 93 and includes the two historic buildings. This land and the buildings are leased to the SRHM for a symbolic franc until 2021, as part of an emphyteutic lease signed in 1921\. Metro Mairie de Montreuil, then bus 122, stop Saint-Just/ Croix de Chavaux, then bus 127, stop Danton By car: Porte de Bagnolet take the A3 motorway towards Lille. Take the 2nd exit "Romainville-Montreuil". In the exit ramp follow the indication S29\. Stay on the ramp until the end, exit Théophile Sueur. At the light of the exit, turn right rue Pierre-de-montreuil. At the next traffic light, turn left at rue Paul Doumer. Take 3rd street on the left, rue du Jardin-École.
