Heritage is often defined as built heritage only. The idea here is to explore the site of the city (an enlarged valley) and to understand why (abundance of sources, abundance of materials) all the conditions were met for a successful urban implantation. The origin of building materials (local or more distant depending on the time) will also be dicuted as well as natural risks.
