European Heritage Days at the SAFRAN Aeronautics and Space Museum
The SAFRAN Aeronautical and Space Museum will host the European Heritage Days on 17 and 18 September 2022 from 10:00 to 18:00.
Our visitors will be able to discover more than 300 pieces of collections dating for some more than 100 years and participate in many animations:
• Launch water rockets for children and powder rockets for adults.
• Practice on 8 simulators including AIRBUS 320, BOEING 777, CESNNA, P47 of the 2nd World War
• Learn how to fly drones through 2 workshops
• Watch films about Rolland Garros who first crossed the Mediterranean in 1912 from Africa to Sicily 110 years ago aboard his Gnome and Rhône-powered aircraft
• Ability to get into the cockpit of the Alouette 2 or Mirage 3 as always
• Attend demonstrations of Gnome & Rhône motorcycles (produced between 1919 – 1958)
• Discover a N&B photo exhibition about SAFRAN enthusiasts who restore our heritage
But also all the permanent collections of the Museum will be accessible either as a free visit or as a commented version.
• Watch the 1925 Messier car (the first car equipped with an oleo-pneumatic suspension) work.
• Attend the start of the diesel bike (Gnome & Rhône D3 of 1929).
• The “Blériot XI” aircraft (equipped with the first Gnome Omega engine) still impressive above your heads
• Project yourself into the stars in our Space Gallery
