In 1775, Marc-Antoine Thierry acquired the former manor house of La Brosse. Very fortunate, he demolished most of the old buildings and built in 1776 the Castle as we can see today the main body. Originally, the main building had outbuildings, most of which have disappeared: a chapel, a concert hall, an orangery, a farm, common and stables. Only the hunting gendarmerie, which now houses the National School of Music and Dance, remains. After the death of Baron Thierry, his widow had to sell the estate which was partly dismembered in the 19th century. The Castle is rented by apartments. In 1854, it became the property of Paul Cocteau who sold part of the land on the side of the hill to Baron Yvelin de Béville to build a beautiful mansion. The Castle was converted into a military hospital during the First World War and occupied by German troops during the Second. It is in 1969 that the municipality acquires the Castle and what remains of its park, to build a college in the lower part. La
