Centenary of Montfermeil and its region - Historical society - Museum of trades

The association was created in 1922, originally in the form of a union of initiative, with the will to unite the old country with the new districts resulting from a subdivision of the seigneurial domain in thousands of lots that deeply divided the inhabitants of the village. Developing the tourist potential, organising parties, meeting the needs of the inhabitants, discovering local history... these were the first objectives to which political changes, the Second World War and the difficulties of the post-war period put a brake. By going through the history of the association, year after year, we will follow its evolution, its adaptation to new constraints and discover the life of a village and the concerns of its inhabitants that have changed a lot in a hundred years. For this story to be complete, there had to be a common thread. We have chosen as witnesses of the different epochs, the coins used, year after year, each with their vintage that rhythm the evolution of time. It is a great page of history that is offered.
