Vanves chose mental health as the theme of the "great cause of Vanvéeenne 2022", a year that also marks the bicentenary of the opening, in September 1822, of the Maison de Santé de Vanves. Founded at the present site of Pic Park by two alienist doctors with innovative methods at the time, Félix Voisin and Jean-Pierre Falret, this establishment had a European reputation in the 19th century. Closed in 1932, it was then acquired by the City of Vanves to be redeveloped into a municipal park open to the public.
