Origami workshop with the Dejima association

Creative workshop to learn the art of folding Japanese paper in the company of the Dejima association (all levels).

The Dejima association is pleased to offer you an origami workshop (お り が み) during which you will be accompanied in the realization of various foldings. From traditional patterns to simpler ones, different levels of difficulty will be offered to you to match your dexterity.
This workshop is offered as part of the European Heritage Days of Inalco, on Saturday 17 September from 13h to 18h (sessions of 20 minutes - last entries at 17h30).
Free entry, subject to high attendance.

Commissioned by the Marquis de Bacqueville in 1716, the building at 2 rue de Lille was purchased and renovated by Jean-Louis Bernage in 1767, before welcoming in 1874 the Ecole des Langues Orientales and its library. Numerous works were carried out during the 1880s to give an institutional and symbolic setting to the school’s teaching missions.
The current building retains the entire north wing of the initial construction of the Bernage Hotel. The wings of the rue des Saints-Pères and of Lille are the result of the realization between 1886 and 1889 of the first phase of the great project imagined by Faure-Dujarric. The fourth and last wing, to the west, as well as the upper part of the pavilion of the library at 2 rue de Lille belong to the last campaign of works that was initiated to complete this ensemble in 1935 by the architect Paul Barrias.
This rich building has housed the Arabic, Turkish, Persian, Chinese and dozens of other languages. It saw the birth and growth of the Doctoral
