On the occasion of the 2022 Heritage Days, the En Mille Morceaux workshop invites you to the Cour des Arts de Vauréal to discover an unusual profession: Médecin des Objets, alias restorer of ceramics and glass. On the programme: presentation of the restorative profession, its role during archaeological missions and its mission as a history smuggler. Indeed, the En Mille Morceaux workshop works both for individuals and in partnership with the CNRS, the French Biblical and Archaeological School of Jerusalem, the castles of Vincennes and Chambord, the Qatar National Museum, etc. Come and discover what is happening on the other side of the mirror of history! In addition, we will offer you a free initiation to the reassembly of ceramics. Come and try the 3D puzzle! The doors of the En Mille Morceaux workshop will not be the only ones to be opened at the Arts Court. You will discover the 20 artisans and artists of the Court as well as 10 exceptional guests, focused for the JEP 2022 around the theme Sustainable Heritage. On-site catering and free parking. The Cour des Arts is a nice farmhouse bought and restored by the town hall of Vauréal from 2004\. Opened to the public in September 2008 and inaugurated on June 12, 2009 by Bernard Morin, Mayor of Vauréal. Located in the heart of the village this place of 2,500 m² has undergone more than two years of work in the respect of traditions while integrating the modernity necessary to make it a unique place in Ile de France. Value the know-how of all the professions at the frontiers of the craft of Art. In this setting, twenty workshops ranging from 25 to 80 m², three of which are duplex, all designed to accommodate creative artisans, artists and art restorers all professionals and selected according to quality and diversity criteria. In total, more than 15 artisans have taken up residence in the workshops at their disposal and offer the public their creations, the discovery of their talents between crafts and art through demonstrations, exhibitions, courses and internships.
