Come and discover the Grand Carré de la Citadelle de Lille! (Each visit will last 1h30).

The rendezvous point will be at the avenue des Marronniers (near the avenue du Petit Paradis), Avenue du 43 Régiment d'Infanterie, guardhouse of the Citadelle.
Individual registered registration mandatory for anyone over 13 years old. Each participant must present one piece of identification. The military authority reserves the right to refuse entry to the citadel to persons who will not be able to present a valid piece of identification (passport or CNI). Residence permits will not be accepted. Must arrive 30 min before the start of the visit. once the visit has begun, access to the citadel will no longer be possible.

Built after the grip(taking) of Lille by Louis XIV on August 27th, 1667, the citadel is the first work of Vauban. Real " green lung " of the city, the "queen des Citadelles", keeps(preserves) a military use(custom) in the internal surrounding wall(speaker) while its large park is open to the public.
