the church of Saint Gervais, built from the end of the XIth century is located on a rise south of the rue Saint Gervais, its Romanesque bell tower of the XIth century, 33 meters high, stands out on a typical landscape of Ile de France. The nave of five bays and the choir were built and remodeled during the 12th century; the large southern chapel added in the 14th century made it possible to house a growing population. Later, in the 16th century, a small chapel was built on the north side.
