The station of LENS (1926) has the shape of a locomotive whose tower of 23 meters, represents the chimney. A clock is located on this chimney. View of the platforms, its architecture, typically Art Deco, depicts the daily life of miners The station has been the subject of an inscription under the title of historical monuments since December 28, 1994\.
It is particularly noted for:
* The mosaic frieze of Auguste Labouret,
* The woodwork of a great metalworker of the Art Deco era (Edgar Brandt)
* and the architecture of the station (Urban Cassan)
