Contemporary urban art is rich in strong values. Artistic and altruistic values, human values, solid and solidary. The project starts in Abbeville. The idea was to enhance the neighborhood and the inhabitants of the Rising Sun with the ambition of highlighting Abbeville and its heritage through the practice of street art. The Tilleuls building was an ideal place to host this type of event because it was located on the outskirts of the district and adjoined a busy road axis with high visibility. Invested by graffiti artists, everyone was able to let his art speak until the destruction of the building.
To extend the spirit of TRANSITION, to open once again to art and to the other, CURB, the association for the development of Urban Cultures exports the project, transports it and takes all the doors of the building of the Rising Sun for a new trip. The door is the symbol of TRANSITION between the exterior and the interior, between the past and the future, between the profane and the sacred, between the street and street-art, between the public and the private.
More than 140 doors are to be discovered!

The monastery founded in the seventh century became a royal abbey in 632 by the protection granted to it by King Dagobert I. His importance was such that in 790 Charlemagne placed at his head one of the highest figures of his court, Angilbert, his adviser. Major abbey of the Carolingian world, it is destroyed in 881 by the invasion of the Normans. In total it will suffer of seventeen destructions. The eclectic architecture of the monument testifies to this turbulent past.
