Despite his undisputed success, the mastery of his art widely glorified, Matisse is a being «on the alert», in perpetual state of departure and search to free himself from routine. If the open window is a recurrent subject of his work, it is also the symbol of an opening towards other possibilities to rediscover beyond his mastered universe. This original choreographic creation proposed by the Terpsichore Company highlights the curiosity and imagination of the artist but also his obsessive desire to free himself from routine.
