Founded in 1237 by Countess Jeanne de Flandre, the old medieval hospital is a precious testimony to the action of the Counts of Flanders in Lille. The conventual buildings of the main courtyard present a panorama of the art of building from the 15th to the 18th century. Today, the Hospice Comtesse museum as the city's art and history museum contributes, through the presentation of its collections - paintings, furniture, silverware, carved woods - to weaving an artistic, economical portrait. and social aspects of the city, from the Renaissance to the Revolution.
