Discover this ancient Gallo-Roman convent, today an important place of Messina cultural life.

Located on Sainte-Croix hill, in the historic heart of Metz, the Trinitaires are part of a unique history. A former Gallo-Roman convent, the place was transformed in 1960 into a multipurpose hall, welcoming local associations and various events. In the 1970s, he marked Messina’s cultural life by becoming a recognized jazz and song club in Europe. A new turning point in 2005, the Association Culturelle des Nouveaux Trinitaires took charge of all the programming and added an additional space, the Robert Ochs Hall, which became La Chapelle in 2009, when the Trinitaires joined Metz in Stages.

The Trinitarian are sheltered in the old(former) convent of the Carmelites. About ten spaces are organised around a Gothic cloister of the XIIIth century, one of the most old(former) of the region. Extremely the North of the hill Sainte-Croix, the old(former) convent of the Carmelites occupies the most abrupt hillside which dives towards the Moselle. The strong difference in level of the site registers this one, practically in the highest point of the city, in a height of more than eighteen metres above the river.
