Built in 1893 by Lutheran, the church is the second Protestant place of worship built in Metz in the course of German Annexation after the temple of the garrison. The Augustan Confession, written by Melanchthon in 1531, is the founding text of Lutheranism which is the theology based(established) from papers and thoughts of Martin Luther.
