A concert and performance venue, the Arsenal is at the crossroads of genres and audiences. Emblematic of culture in Metz, it was completely reinvented by Ricardo Bofill in 1989 and is now one of the most prestigious venues in Europe. The Grande Salle is recognized for its incomparable acoustic qualities.
Since its opening, L'Arsenal has supported creation by hosting artists-in-residence and offers a rich and diverse programme of symphonic, baroque, jazz and dance music.
An exceptional heritage complex, the Arsenal has three concert halls, a photographic exhibition gallery, various reception rooms and meeting spaces. The Arsenal is also in charge of two buildings classified as historical monuments: Saint-Pierre-aux-Nonnains and the Chapel of the Templars, dating respectively from the 4th and 13th centuries.
